Massage Services

Deep Tissue
Focused bodywork on the underlying muscle layers, fascia and connective tissue, that is typically addressing a specific complaint.  Therapeutic treatment using slow and intentional pressure to release restrictions or referral patterns developed through repetitive use and strain.

Fertility Bodywork
Enjoy a customized treatment developed by Lori that includes abdominal massage, Myofascial Release (emotional cellular release), CranioSacral Therapy and Chakra Balancing to help bring the mind, body, and spirit into harmony. Decreasing catecholamines (stress hormones) is essential in achieving the most optimal and fertile environment. Increasing relaxation and endorphin production directly results in decreased catcholamines. Added benefits include increased uterine blood flow, increased energy movement, adjustment of the uterus to its proper position, alignment of the central nervous system/craniosacral rhythm and decreased abdominal tissue restrictions.

**When scheduling, please note the most optimal time is between cycle day 6 and cycle day 14.

Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy massage reduces swelling, decreases sciatic pain, eases muscular discomforts as a mother’s body changes, improves digestion and increases relaxation. It also increases blood circulation, delivers more oxygen and nutrients to mother and baby, decreases insomnia and anxiety and stimulates the release of endorphins. Incorporating CranioSacral Therapy helps with pelvic alignment, headaches, and central nervous system relaxation. Regular bodywork and acupuncture can help to decrease the length of labor and intensity of surges, in addition to improving postnatal recovery. There are many medical reasons to get regular massage throughout your pregnancy, but one of the best reasons is the sacred bonding time mom and baby receive on a frequent basis.

Breech Presentation Treatment
A treatment developed to encourage your baby into the optimal vertex position in preparation for natural childbirth. A variety of techniques, including CranioSacral Therapy, Myofascial Release, Massage Therapy and/or Hypnotherapy, are used to release fear, shift pelvic bones and encourage baby to make her/his turn into the most favorable position for your birth day.

CranioSacral Therapy
A gentle, hands-on therapy involving the subtle movement of cranial bones, which aids in releasing stuck patterns and cerebrospinal fluid blockages. It directly works with and supports the central nervous system, resulting in greater relaxation and more restful sleep. Receiving regular treatments may help reduce or eliminate headaches, back pain, emotional blockages, PTSD, neck pain, colic, chronic fatigue, insomnia and more.
A well-rounded treatment for adults, adolescents and infants.

Women’s Holistic Pelvic Therapy
Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a low load (gentle pressure) applied slowly will allow a viscoelastic medium (fascia) to elongate. Sustained pressure also allows cellular memory from past physical and/or emotional traumas to release over time. Lori combines this innovative technique with deep tissue therapy, which has produced consistent positive results with her clients for over a decade now.
